Michael has a diverse range of technical knowledge and experience in the construction industry. He commenced his career in Northern Ireland and Mainland UK and moved to New Zealand in 2011. Michael promptly embedded himself into the rail industry here and has since held significant positions in OLE and Traction delivery.

Michael started with Alpha Rail in 2019 as OLE Site Engineer and has been involved in major New Zealand capital rail infrastructure projects including C8 Otahuhu Improvements (CRL), C9 Britomart East (CRL), and the Link Alliance Operational Configuration (CRL).

Michael has a unique thorough understanding of the need for technical accuracy an attribute he has carried into his key traction and OLE roles and more recently into his role as Traction Delivery Manager over a strong Alpha Rail construction team.
